I run a local business in Gardens, Manurewa in Auckland and we still cannot operate under Level 3 Alert Level because our business is Beauty Massage Salon with Cranial treatment included.
For the last nearly 4 weeks since we went into Alert Level 4, I am busy rescheduling our current customers who are mostly booked in August and September.
We are still surviving and I am so glad our business model that I created 2 years ago is reasonably strong when things go wrong such as covid, natural disaster. Of course, I had no idea at that time that I would be facing this kind of phenomenon and really tested our business framework.
However, it is still frustrating that our progress has really slowed down especially when we started to train 2 new therapists and 1 potential therapist whom I was going to interview on 21st September which needed to be rescheduled now in October.
I know there is no point of complaining to the things out of my control and the more I think about the negative side of the event, the more pessimistic my mind gets, so I decided to see the picture of our happy customers who are visiting our Salon repeatedly, which is made by my salon owner.
We can only operate our salon under the Alert Level 2 so still a bit more to go, but I will do what I can do right now and survive through this tough time.
